I’ve been struggling to add back squats to my routine. I still have a bit of pain in my left knee when I do them with any weight at all (ok weightless)…not severe.
Is this something I should just ditch?
Today:
rotator cuff
pull ups: 5 sets of 10 plus one of 5 “penalty set for bad reps)
bench: 10 x 135, 3 x 185, 8 x 165
clean and press: 6 x 95, 5 x 95, (tried some ideas..and lowered the bar to do full reps instead of “parallel to the shoulder” reps. It makes a difference)
clean and push press: 4 x 95 (harder than I thought…no pop from the legs)
dumbbell press (strict) 10 x 40
rows: 3 sets of 10 x 115
goblet squats: 6 x 60, 6 x 70 (happy with these, decent depth)
back squats: 2 sets of 6 x 45 (only the bar), then 5 x 95 (so so depth), 5 x 105 (sucked…too shallow) very mild left knee pain on these.
for some reason, front squats and goblets feel much better.
plank
Walking: Inner lane: 14:16, 13:36, 1:37 (extra lap..course is short, I think) 29:430 for 2 miles.
Body weight: 194. This is better.
Politics Time to give Mayor Pete a look? His inexperience (only mayor of a smallish town) bothers me. And yes, he is doing well in predominately white states. I’ll see after Nevada and South Carolina. But I am checking him out.
Elizabeth Warren: OMG, she reminds me of a candidate for provost or for a university president. Sigh…
