Trump is an idiot:
President Donald Trump suggested Monday evening that the “1917” influenza pandemic ended World War II, wrongly citing both the year that the pandemic occurred and the year that World War II ended. “The closest thing is in 1917, they say, the great pandemic. It certainly was a terrible thing where they lost anywhere from 50 to 100 million people,” Trump said. “Probably ended the second World War, all the soldiers were sick.”
Note: yes, in WW1, many of the soldiers were sick and many died from the flu. But that didn’t end the war.
Anyway…I get it that many conservatives can’t stomach liberals. Frankly, I can’t either, for a number of reasons, like this one:
A couple who came under attack for displaying the Norwegian flag outside their mid-Michigan inn because some observers mistook it for a Confederate flag have found another way to show their Scandinavian pride.
Greg and Kjersten Offenbecker, who own The Nordic Pineapple in St. Johns, outside Lansing, took Norway’s flag down last month after being falsely accused of promoting racism, the Lansing State Journal reported.
Too many are loud, sanctimonious, ignorant jerks with a “Hall Monitor” personality.
But they aren’t running on our ticket.
How can anyone find Trump remotely acceptable?
