Last Saturday of the semester

And I just got through watching Illinois lose to Iowa 35-21. The Illini started out on fire 14-0 but the Hawkeyes scored 35 in a row, before a garbage time TD with 30 seconds to go in the same made it more respectable.

I then caught the second half of a fantastic game between…BYU and Costal Carolina..both teams undefeated and ranked. It was back and forth and CC lead 22-17 with BYU having one last play:

Yep, it came down to that…one hell of a good game.

As for me: I did this walk after deadlifts; I felt good enough to go 4 miles with little to no glute pain.

Before the walk: deadlifts..in my basement gym and yes, it was an effort.

Today: all low handle: no deficit, no high handle.

10 x 134, 10 x 184, 1 x 224, 1 x 259

1 x 284 (best low handle/deadlift in 20+ years)

10 x 229 (heaviest weight I’ve used for 10 reps with low handles) No bouncing. Full stop with each rep.

And my hamstrings and butt are sore; that is what I am using these deadlifts for.

So, I might do some high handle next week so I can keep walking my low handle up. Though I am pleased with the improvement, I am a bit surprised at how slowly it is coming.
