Famous last words..

I thought that Northern Iowa might upset Indiana State in basketball. It is now 70-48, Indiana State with 10 minutes to go.

I did watch the Bradley women lose to Murray State 81-64; they had a ton of trouble with the MSU press.

This Thursday, the Bradley women lost a tough one to a good Belmont team 77-72:

Bradley lead after 3 62-55 and 66-64 with 4 minutes to go but could not hold on.

Workout notes: the back/butt is better; on Friday I walked in the rain (lower Bradley Park plus short Moss loop) 14:31 pace for 5.15 (1:14:36), followed by a 1 mile commuter walk.

Today: lazy weight workout followed by a 4.15 mile commuter walk at a 15:14 pace (steady)

The weights: pull ups: 10 singles (alternating pulls and chins), 10 regular (ok, 9.9), 5, 5 then chin up sets 7 and 3, then two mixed grip sets 5, 5.

downstairs for high inclines: 5 x 94, 5 x 105, 1 x 115, 1 x 130, 1 x 134 (One plate!), 3 sets of 5 x 115.

bench: 3 sets of 5 x 145 (used elbow wraps for the first 2 sets; probably don’t need them now) and 3 sets of curls with the Swiss bar (empty: 45 lb); those felt GREAT on the elbow.
