Second verse, slower than the first

This was about 75 seconds slower than yesterday, but given that I want to walk some with Lynnor later this week, I stopped at 5.2. Damned watch cheated me, but that is ok; I adjusted.

Note: I had some discomfort (very mild) and though it went away during the flat ending, I decided to play it safe and finish and roll. Everything was slightly stiff due to, I think, a good deadlift and walking workout the day before.

Kind of a good thing?

Two issues.

  1. My “new” walking shoes are starting to wear out. So, I have approximately 400 miles on them (got them in March) and they probably won’t last another month. I put 700 on my old pair; that is too much. But I wore those from May 2021 to March 2022, and the ones I am wearing now will not last that long.
  2. Today’s walk: I was thinking about my project and completely forgot whether I took the Cornstalk hill or the lower part; completely spaced out. But I did not notice the hill effort nor did I feel the pain. That is good. (saw the map afterwards)
  3. Deadlifts and an attempt at belt squats left my legs quivering.

Here I added a small loop (.167 miles) around the round about in front o Markin.

Deadlifts before: 10 x 134, 10 x 190, 10 x 225 low, 10 x 255 4 inch. Then 2 sets of belt squats, trying to learn the movement. Note: bracing before squatting helped take away the radiating pain. I was using almost no weight at all.
