I am recovering faster from the long walks, and it appears that a gentle deadlift workout with a 5K walk appears to work well. That is what I did: 15:3x type 5K walk after deadlifts:
straight bar: 10 x 134, 10 x 184 (pause at the bottom)
5 x 224, 2 x 224 (felt wrong) almost singles
10 x 250 4.25 wagon wheel trap bar (pause at bottom)
10 x 280 6 inch again: trying not to bounce reps.
