First, the workout today: not much; sore legs (posterior chain) and shins. I need to work on that a bit.
PT, dead lifts (10 x 134, 10 x 184 trap bar low, 10 x 224, 10 x 244 4 inch handle)
walk: easy 2 miles. Still a bit sore.
Chiefs: This has been a topsy-turvy series with Quad Cities.
The Wednesday day game was a loss 4-1; their 1-11 pitcher was touched with a couple of 2 run innings after a good start (2 shut out innings)
Thursday was very ugly. It finished 15-5 with the Chiefs letting their catcher pitch in the 9’th; a new Chief got a home run.
Saturday: 4-1 win with the Chiefs taking a 2-1 lead on two Moquette home runs and adding a couple of insurance runs late. The starer pitched 6.67 solid innings scattering 7 hits.
Sunday (today) 7-2 solid win, taking a 2-0 lead early and then rallying after it was tied at 2.
More importantly, the Chiefs are now tied for 2’nd place with Cedar Rapids. This is important because the first place team (Wisconsin) won the first half title. So a second place finish means playoff baseball!
What concerned me a little was the crowd: it was a good crowd on Tuesday, not so great on Thursday, and small by Saturday standards on Saturday, and kind of tiny today. (weather?)

From that 15-5 loss: sparse crowd that evening.
