This was my longest walk since fall, 2020, and the longest “sub 15 mpm” walk in much longer than that.

As far as the walk: I had planned “6-8” as I had done some squats yesterday. But as I got going..well, I was not worried about pace and walked 15:0x to 15:2x for the first 3 miles; 4’th mile was recorded in 16:20? The Bishop hill crossing was easy to get to so I tried to see if I could make it to Peoria Heights. No problem; I was 1:13 at that turn around.
On the way back, my watch gave me some unrealistic readings (12:xx) and some plausible ones; nevertheless the return saw me get to the Riverplex entrance at 2:20, so my return WAS 6 minutes faster. I walked to the start of the Gateway building driveway and back to the car, so I was about .1 short of the full 10.4, hence the Garmin distance was probably accurate, even with the weirdness.
This evening: none the worse for wear, though I’ll roll on a baseball tonight.
And for the new readers: yes, at one time in my life, I walked very long distances (e. g. 100 mile footraces) but, well, this is quite the change from this time 2 years ago.
