Close call

Still a sour taste in my mouth…but let’s move on.

PT, deadlifts, then walk 1 (3 by 1.15..laps in 16:20, 15:50, 15:40 or 47:50. Call it 3.35. Then 1.35 more to and from the drug store.

Deadlifts: 10 x 134, 10 x 190 low, 10 x 234, 4 inch, 10 x 261 4 inch. Felt fine.

Then in the evening, Chiefs game.

and… 2 runs in the bottom of the 4’th and an insurance run in the bottom of the 8’th gave us a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the 9’th. The starter pitched 7 strong innings, scattering 3 hits, 1 walk and just retiring batters left and right; 1:40 to get to 8. And to be fair, the starting pitcher was helped by spectacular outfield play.

But then came our bullpen, and the first reliever had control issues.

A double play saved us in the 8’th.

Then in the 9’th: first 9 pitches, 8 were balls. Hit scored 1 run.. Deep fly scored the 2’nd.

Second reliever came in with 2 outs, runners on 2n’d and 3’rd..another walk.

But then:

I wasn’t sure about that 3’rd strike and the Riverbandit coach didn’t like it either, but a win it was.

Great company, as always.
