I’ll start with some baseball. The Cubs beat the Chiefs last night 4-3 in a very tight, well played game. That was to be their lone win in the 6 game series. It was great to see Tracy again, given that she missed Steamboat this year (back troubles)

Today’s game was something else. It featured multiple home runs by both teams, a player ejection (over a call that the umpire rightly changed his mind on), a stunning comeback by the Cubs to tie the game (MONSTER shot to right field, almost over both fences), a scoreless 10’th…and then the winner came with a bases loaded balk with 2 outs!
I mean, this game had EVERYTHING, from steals, great fielding, superb pitching at times, MONSTER home runs (both teams), pitchers throwing at batters, near brawl…. last night may have been a fireworks game, but today the fireworks were on the field!
Workout notes: yesterday’s effort made me sore..again I had not planned on a hard effort but went with one anyway.
But stretching got me into it:
Deadlifts: low straight bar (1.25 inch deficit) 10 x 107, 10 x 133, 10 x 195
straight bar: 10 x 224
6 inch trap bar: 1 x 300 (surprised), 5 x 300, 5 x 300. Then an easy walk (W. Peoria course in 89 F heat) at 15:35 using new shoes and no orthotics.
