Going longer

Sunday: Social walk with Lynnor (4 miles at 16:30 or so)

I admit that I really look forward to her visits.

Monday: 4.3 miles at 14:30 (W. Peoria 3.14 plus a campus loop) This was after weights: pull ups: 5 single pull ups, 5 single chins, 5 pull ups, 5 chins, 5 mixed, 5 mixed, 5 pull ups, 5 chins, then 4 (pause, regular), 4 pause, regular, 5 chins.

Bench: 10 x 134, 3 sets of 5 x 155 (hard), 2 x 155 Swiss (wrists), 9 x 134 Swiss

High incline: 6 x 94, 10 x 94, 7 x 94 (tied in), 3 sets of 10 curls.

then the walk.

Today (Tuesday) I REALLY didn’t want to get out there even though the weather was grand. And I screwed up: didn’t start the watch until I was at Markin. So I added 3 minutes and 0.2 miles to my result. Bottom line: 9.3 in 2:14: 25 (3 minute improvement from last week); the GPS watch was acting up so I measured: 42:48 for the second out and back in Bradley Park (dodging some of the moronic drivers; there weren’t many) 14:15 for the final 1.03, then 18:56 for the final 1.3. First 8 was 1:55:20. I am a bit sore now, but otherwise ok.

This was a typical “longish” walk..and counts for “long” right now.
