These are anxious times, to say the least.
Part of how I deal with is is by working out.
Yesterday: tired; did weights.
pull ups: 2-2-2-2-2, 10, 10, 10, 5-5, 5-5 (did glute and rotator cuff exercises in between)
bench presses: 10 x 132, 4 x 176 (left shoulder), 4 x 181, 4 x 181, 5 x 161 (tired)
hip hikes and stuff up the stairs in between
super set: outdoor barbell presses and indoor hex bar deadlifts 10 x 85, 10 x 90, 5 x 99, 10 x 90
indoor trap bar dead lifts: 3 sets of 10 x 184 (focus on form)
plank: 2:30
whole workout took about 1:40 to do.
Today: started at 8:15 or so and did 4 1.77 laps (1:25:04 for the first 3, 27:44 for the final big lap, 15:52 for the final 1.07 from the house, Laura to the street in front of the pizza joint on Bradley)
14:49 for the final mile, 15:40 for the final 1.77 loop, 15:47 for the whole thing. Yeah, kind of slow but the butt didn’t hurt…almost pain free.
Social unrest
It’s complicated. YES, many (most?) protesters are peaceful, though some display different degrees of anger.
Yes, some loot and break stuff: and the looters/vandals included different types: some after “free stuff” (stealing), some instigating, some who coat their actions in the false varnish in righteousness and some who just see license to break stuff (you see this after sporting events as well)
As far as WHAT is being protested, see Senator Tim Scott, R-SC back in 2016:
And stuff like this:
And THIS kind of “leadership” isn’t helping. The country needs calming and caring instead of false bravado from our Coward in Chief:
