Snow shovel to cool down

Yes…I did some shoveling after my workout. It was light, fluffy stuff.

pull ups: 10, 5-5-5, 5-5-5, 5, 5 (I forgot how hard the 5-5-5 sets were)
rotator cuff
bench: BUTT DOWN. 10 x 135, 1 x 185 (yes, butt down), 5 x 170
decline bench: 4 x 180 (didn’t want to risk a 5’th rep attempt)
shoulder press: 7 x 50, 10 x 45, 10 x 40 (dumbbells)
goblet squats: 3 sets of 6 x 70; first, to the bench, next two were deeper
rows: 3 sets of 10 x 200 Hammer
lots of free squats
back squats: 5 x 45, 5 x 65, 5 x 95 (best in a while…ready to start adding weight?)
gym: hex bar 5 x 205 (HARD), 6 x 175 (emphasized legs..dead by now)
stiff leg dead lift: 8 x 135
also: plank, headstand

Early on, when was doing pull ups, shoulder pressing with goblet squats in between, I had a hard time catching my breath.

weight: 193 (196 with shoes and sweat pants)

Some about the debate later..

yuck

Ah..no yoga class due to the overnight snow. Yeah, I’ve been outside twice; last night and again this morning. We didn’t get all that much but it was enough to be a pain in the neck.
Tammy sent me this to know that, well, I got off easy

Ah, to have a wife that shovels snow…

(this is Cassie, a running friend)

I don’t have one of those.

But, yeah, I had gotten spoiled by the relatively mild winter we’ve had so far.

Anyway, I used that time to run on the treadmill, and I started slower due to not having had the yoga class beforehand: 11:42, 22:50, 33:07, 43:17, 53:15 (couldn’t sustain sub 10 minute pace easily..I didn’t want to turn it into a race); I then walked to 1:05 (5.75 miles) and did another .5 miles (7:17) to finish 10K in 1:12:17, which is “faster” than some of my 10K “runs” outside. (1:09:20 was my 6 mile mark).

It was enough to be exercise and now it is time to get to my duties.

Politics: Twitter ..I know..it is not a representative sample of people. But I am becoming more and more convinced that liberals are just as dumb as conservatives; it is just that we are dumb about different things.
