attitude attack

I really didn’t want to do PT this morning. I am growing tired of it. And, well, i should lose at least 10 lb, though 20 would be better. Reason: I carry most of my excess weight in my belly and that pulls on my spine; my L5 is slipped too far forward (isthmic spondylolisthesis) leading to femoral stenosis and presenting as neurogenic claudication.

But I did my PT anyway and today looked like

  1. PT
  2. Walk 1
  3. PT plus pull ups and push ups
  4. Walk 2
  5. Weights downstairs

The walks: went ok; the second one I had “oh so mild” lower back tightness and no glute pain!!! It is about as pain free as it gets for me.

Pull ups: went well as well: 5 sets of 10, 2 sets of 5 mixed.

Push ups: 30 inclined, 30 decline then 4 sets of 10 including deficit, and various declines.

Downstairs: bench: 10 x 134, then 3 sets of 5 x 156

Deadlift (all low) 10 x 134, 10 x 184, 10 x 224

High incline: 5, 6, 6 of 104

curls 3 sets of 10.
