Democratic Primary Race

Well, we have about a month before the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. Yes, Biden is leading, and Harris just dropped out due to a lack of money. I like Klobuchar but I am starting to get e-mail messages about “how would you liker her as VP?” I have to figure out who is sending those..Biden?

I used to like Booker .I suppose that I still do, but he plays the “woke” card too often for my tastes. And there is carping that, without Harris, the remaining December Debate qualifiers are all white (with one bored billionaire)

Warren: I like her personally, but I don’t think she has the right stage persona to be effective. And her surge appears to be over. I like Buttigieg too, but ..well, his experience is what I’d want it to be. But others resent him; and yeah, he is a bit like the talented football player who walked into the weight room and benched my max the very first time he touched a weight. Aptitude matters and Buttigieg has it.

So, how might I rank my preferences?

1. Klobuchar
2. Booker

But bowing to reality, I am not getting my top 2.

3. Biden
4 (tie): Warren and Buttigieg Warren is better qualified (stronger resume, by far) but Buttigieg has more political aptitude and might be a tougher opponent for Trump.

The rest…”who cares” but …let’s get to my OMG, I hope not list:

Steyer, Bloomberg, Sanders

Please: just go away. Oh, if..heaven help us, one of those 3 got the nomination, I’d vote for them vs. Trump…but my goodness, I sure hope it doesn’t come to that.

I am a head case (lifting)

Well, I was a bit tired when I finished my teaching day. But I was still ok.

I got up usual, to lift. I had skipped Monday. Weight: 189.
rotator cuff
pull ups (strong; 5 sets of 10)
bench: 10 x 135, 4 x 185 (good),
incline: 10 x 135
decline: 10 x 165 (in cruise control)
military: 2 sets of 15 x 50 seated, supported, 10 x 40 standing
rows: 3 sets of 10 x 50 single arm.
goblet squats: 6 x 25, 6 x 45, 6 x 60 (decent, but not all the way with depth)
hex deads: 6 x 135 (tired), 6 x 185, 1 x 205, 6 x 175 (handles turned down) It is a bit embarrassing that there isn’t a bigger gap between my deads and bench.

plank for 2:30, then headstand.

That was enough. For some reason…I really wanted to quit during pull ups, even those were fine. I sometimes have to fight through attitude attacks.
I sometimes ask myself “do you want to make the team?” though..there is no team to make.
