We had one of those “gag” days; high 70’s with 93-94 percent humidity at 5:30 am. So, my walk was 5 miles (Cornstalk hill) taken very slowly. Then weights: rotator cuff
pull ups: 5 good sets of 10, 1 of 5 at the end, military: 10 x 50, 10 x 45, 10 x 40 all standing, rows: 3 sets of 10 x 110 machine< incline: 7 x 135 (lazy), decline: 7 x 165 (lazy), goblet squats: 6 x 30, 6 x 50, 6 x 60, planks, head stand, etc. Weight: 187.

Are the Democrats headed to defeat in 2020?

Now I am mostly talking about the Presidential race, though the Senate race might have gotten interesting. Mitch McConnell is the least popular Senator (as measured by disapproval among constituents) with a 50 percent disapproval rating.

The Democrats have a candidate. But, Kentucky would well hate Democrats more than they hate Mitch McConnell.

Though Nate Silver suggests that she might have a 15-20 percent shot.

So, there is that.

But about the presidency: There are some that say that Trump has the numbers he needs to possibly eke out an Electoral College victory again.

Yes, if one counts from Hoover, incumbents have been 11-4, with the losers being Hoover, Ford (who wasn’t elected to begin with), Carter and G. H. W. Bush. Winners: Roosevelt (3 times), Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush and Obama. Those are not impossible odds to overcome.

But the Democrats seem to have been shooting themselves in the foot with unpopular stances, lashing out at would be allies…heck, we attack EACH OTHER all of the time, and insisting on looking at EVERYTHING via race, sex and ..age?

Curiously…some seem puzzled that many of us actually think that someone can go too far:

The Democratic Race
Joe Biden has a nice bounce back.
